Bavaria Towers
A lot has happened in the east of Munich. Within sight of the Bavaria Towers by Nieto Sobejano Architects and the Süddeutscher Verlag Headquarters by Berlin GKK Architects in Berg am Laim, the new urban quarter „Baumkirchen Mitte“ has been built on a 13-hectare railway site - with 560 flats and 650 workplaces. The district is characterised by organic urban design by Ebner and Friends, high-quality architecture and diverse open spaces. A unique feature is the near-natural park on the aforementioned railway tracks, which can be explored via bridges with viewing platforms. A few block next to it we will visit the new district „Die Macherei“: offices, restaurants and retail are being built here on 7.5 hectares in post-industrial loft architecture. The dense development offers numerous uses with many qualities.
