On the 20-hectare site of the former Luitpold Barracks on Dachauer Strasse, a vibrant creative quarter that seamlessly integrates living and working with art, culture, and knowledge, is being developed. After its renovation and transformation by Staab Architekten, the listed Zeughaus on Lothstraße opened in 2018 as the Department of Design at the Munich University of Applied Sciences. The building captivates with its innovative architecture, blending functionality and aesthetics. In 2021, Steidle Architekten designed the Munich Urban Colab which includes a modern center for start-ups and severs as an interdisciplinary platform for urban innovation. Together, these projects embody a commitment to creating contemporary and sustainable educational spaces that address the needs of dynamic urban development.
